My vehicle was involved in an accident. Not my fault. I have State farm the other driver has state farm. I was giving a total loss settlement on Friday I asked to speak to a supervisor no one called me back. I called back today now the settlement amount is less by 800.00 because the person I spoke to today claims that the person on Friday didn't use the correct tool that she's supposed to use to get that amount. So now I'm been given an $800 decrease which was not my fault. Meanwhile, delays, delays. I don't have a vehicle to go to work and back and forth to work. My vehicle was crashed into while I was at work. Now insurance won't enough money to fix the vehicle so now I have to pay out-of-pocket expenses for an accident I did not cause. Not to mention now because of their mistake their nickel and dimeing me and decreasing it from the original settlement amount because they say the adjuster made a mistake. I have respectfully requested to speak to a supervisor and 4 days later nothing, no supervisor has time to speak to a policy holder to discuss a claim that was not my fault.

I switched my home and auto insurance to State Farm about 4 months ago. The auto policy was set up for monthly auto pay to one of my credit cards. I had attempted fraud on my credit card, so Capital One cancelled the card and issued me a new one. The next day, I received a text from State Farm saying that the payment was declined, so I immediately logged in and changed my auto pay to the new card. State Farm's web page would not let me pay the insurance at that time. It stated that I would have to try again in 1-3 days, I went in the next day, and it let me pay the bill. About 4 hours after paying the bill, I received another notice from State Farm saying that the payment was late. I logged in and it said that no payment was due. I also verified that the charge was on my credit card. Yesterday I received a cancellation notice, again saying that the payment was past due, I will be having a conversation with my local agent this morning, as I am very unhappy with State Farm at this point. I really doubt that I renew with them next year after this experience.

State Farm does not know how to communicate with customers and/or they assigned me a claims team that has no idea what they are doing. Caliber Collision called me to pick up my "finished" car because it was ready to go home. I arrived and there is still very visible damage all around the car. I submitted photos of the damage to State Farm. This collision was 100% her fault and she admitted it to the police. It was a violent accident with damage on almost every side of the car, including the interior from a flying garage door opener, SunPass, and other items inside the cabin. The passenger door had to be replaced. After replacing the door, they scratched/damaged the interior handle and broke the screw cover so it will not lie flat. I do not trust Caliber Collision. I am not confident my car will be repaired safely when such noticeable damage was overlooked and more damage caused. Some of the paint quality is shoddy where you can see the paint layer is too thin and/or it looks like it began to run. I regret allowing State Farm to tow my car to one of their "best" certified shops. The Caliber Collision employee could see for himself the overlooked damage and marked (see photos). I am glad he has eyes unlike the staff that inspects the damage and does the body work. You do not hire a shoemaker to do body work on vehicles nor do you hastily complete the job overlooking so much and causing more damage. 7/22/23: According to Caliber Collision, my car was finished, again. I went to inspect it today because I could not suddenly leave work to go down there yesterday when they let me know. I arrived and there was still a significant amount of damage not fixed. Now, there are four new damaged spots. A new scratch, broken plastic, wheel well improperly screwed in, and paint over spray (see photos). The quality of the paint job is horrible. It is rough in places and feels like there is sand or dirt in the paint. 7/26/23: I removed my vehicle due to more damage being caused at the collision center. Caliber Collision told State Farm that I said the damage was caused during the accident. I reported to State Farm that Caliber damaged the interior when replacing the door. They lied to State Farm and charged them for the replacement when it was Caliber's fault. State Farm ignored my concerns over and over again. I informed them about the fraudulent activity and they took no action. 8/3/23: A State Farm representative came to inspect my vehicle and confirmed the new damage caused by the shop. He also confirmed Caliber Collision committed fraud. The claims team already knew this and chose not to do anything about either situation. 8/1/23, State Farm was supposed to send me an estimate for me to hopefully have the car repaired at a "non-network" collision center. I received an email today that the revised (would be the 5th time) estimate was complete, and use the app or visit the site to download it. I downloaded the estimate and it is the estimate from Caliber Collision. What happened to the estimate from the State Farm representative? I have no idea what is going on with State Farm and Caliber Collision. 8/18/23: The new collision shop found the wheel well was permanently affixed to the body of the car using epoxy instead of replacing the parts. They purchased a damaged and rusted door replacing the damaged door on the vehicle. There was rust visible on the door that the new shop had to repair. This is the same door where the mirror is the wrong color white. Caliber Collision has permanently damaged my vehicle. I will be filing a lawsuit against State Farm and Caliber Collision. I am very happy with the new shop I selected. They do excellent work and they fixed what they could, but unfortunately, the damage was already done by Caliber Collision and either cannot be repaired or cannot return the vehicle to the condition it was prior to the accident. 11/30/23: I still do not have my car. State Farm owed Enterprise over $2000. I have been paying for a rental for two months which State Farm will not reimburse. I'm going to the news.

Had my auto drop off my policy without being notified and hit a deer the day after. Agent said nothing he can do. Corporate has not gotten a response back from the agent in 3 business days and the claims dept is not returning my calls or emails. Makes you wonder if your house was a loss how they might handle!!!

State Farm opened a renters insurance policy without my consent months after I opened the account for car insurance. Called to ask how was the agent able to verify my account and was told State Farm is individually own and did not answer my question. How can you verify my account to make the changes ? That is fraud point blank. I would like a call back from corporate to explain how you are planning to protect the consumer information.

Horrible experience with State Farm. I am not a customer of State Farm, but unfortunately had to work with State Farm due to one of State Farm customers causing a car accident. Apparently, State Farm does not have enough staff to handle claims. I was told the initial inspection/estimate could not be performed for months (yes months), so I had to download the State Farm app and take pictures myself. This service I had to do for them is probably why the cash offer they gave me for repairs was insulting - missed the mark by about $7k. Customer service reps slow-walked my claim and told me different and conflicting things. One customer service rep, while apologizing for my dissatisfaction, blamed it on the other employees being new and inexperienced - begging the obvious question of why are they allowed to speak to customers then. In a letter to me, State Farm also had the audacity to say, "You have a duty to take steps to mitigate your damages." I have zero duty to State Farm. Unless you can cite a legal requirement, these carefully chosen words were clearly meant to intimidate me. During the repair of my vehicle, State Farm held the process up on multiple occasions. Really had to argue over my repair shop wanting to replace a headlight bulb with a new bulb versus a used one as State Farm requested. Remember, your customer damaged my vehicle.

I was shocked to see that State Farm has begun to follow other unscrupulous insurance practices by offering payouts far below the cost of replacement for your automobile. They are just like all the other low integrity insurance companies. It’s sad because they used to be very well respected.

I would recommend anyone doing business with State Farm to find another company. People that get involved in a car accident with State Farm that are not insured through them hire an attorney immediately. I got rear ended by State Farm employee and they are refusing to pay for full damages on my vehicle. Do not do business with them find another insurance company!!! They will not even return your calls or reply to your emails they believe they are above law and that there word is final in accident even when they are at fault.
